well brothers and sisters after many years in the postal service(blue shirt) it almost definatley looks like the end for all of us when tnt etc gets hold of us(which looks likely)they will strip us to the bone .
We should move away from labour and remove all funding now!.
As for all the managers that have being giving us hell for the last couple of years (your ass is on the line too!.)HA HA
As for the union they have handled thing very badly...we were prepered for a stand last time but they bottled it and we ended up with this sh*ty flexability bullsh*t.£400 carrot dangled in front of our face
i have no problems with working 40 hrs for 40 hrs pay but the a/holes want to be slave drivers now!
tnt and the others will strive for a mainly part-time work force so many of us will not be here in the distant future
the next time we are asked to walk out" DO IT AND BACK THE UNION" it's our only option just hope they get there act together very soon
good luck and seasons greetings to all from 1 of the many postmen who used to love there job

I doubt we`ll ever have to go on strike again, because the top brass can never word the paperwork properly and RM cancel them. You`re right about one thing there was a big effort last time and it was in vain because of incompetence at senior level of the cwu. Dont see no stomach for a fight at my place. too many with debts, too many foreigners, willing to do anything the managers want for an hour docket and too many part timers. But worst of all too many people with the ostrich mentality. Heads in the sand and no interest in any work related issues as long as they can finish early. Most still havent heard of the Hooper report. Even now.

Glad to hear that; our shift is ready, sorry was ready to go on Friday. Now we might have difficulties rallying the troops especially as we may not be here by the time the "leaders" have discussed the fine points with RM/nu labor.
We need to be linked up where possible so we can find out whats really going on.
We want answers about why the strike the other day was stopped. What negotiations were going on and what progress has been made and when the decision was taken. All negotiations from now on should be public.
Break over got to go Solidarity, Philippo.
