throughputs

I dont know if this has been posted before! But my DOM is using throughputs to get at people who are doing the job properly, i.e. streaming the mail working to there contracted hours etc... happend to 12 of us on sat. and he had threatened us all with the conduct code, this has went to stage 3 of the IR framework.

just wanting to know if this is dirty under hand tactics is used in all other offices, and as it has went to stage 3 in the IR does he still have the right to use this lieing "tool".

I would hazard a guess at the mail center they have detail's of all amount's of mail and if it is less than it was before when they did complete he is using that info too intimidate and harass the member's in his office!. only a guess but don't know for sure.

well if thats it, tell your DOM his calculations are worth nothing, so long as your not taking the p!ss your ok.

their calculations don't take everything into account. you can pull them apart in front of them. don't feel intimidated, turn it back on him.

and when he says you used to complete even when you had more mail, whats the problem? simply reply with, i'm no longer rushing around anymore and i'm making sure i meet all of Royal Mails delivery procedures, security procedures and health & safety, i trust you don't object, do you?

All i will say if throughput's are used is as the other poster's above me but the more of you the better for you all this is not a race to the finnish all it will lead to is less job's!. But let me say this intimidation is a fact of life in royal mail now you are not alone in this most of us have come across this good luck stand firm and the more the better!. UNITY IS STRENGTH!.
