D2D claim sheet in late.

Post by opgpat »

Hi, have done several searches on this topic but no exact match.

Last week I forgot to hand my D2D form in on Friday and did so next day on Saturday soon as I got in. I left it next to the computer used for D2D as no-one was there but there was someoneelses D2D forms there. Anyway I haven't been paid for this claim so my querstion is- can RM legitimately refuse to pay me full stop? Isn't that a breach of our verbal contract? I did the work they are duty bound to pay late form or not?

Cheers.

If what your saying is that your claim was considered late then all that should happen is that you'll get the payment next week. They cannot refuse to pay you at all!

Have you asked your manager about this?

Another question related to this subject is this:- Do the D2D sheets have to be handed in each week or can you put 2 in per fortnight? the reason in asking is that the DIM says they must be handed in each week as they can't go back to the last weeks as they have dropped off the system!!!! Thanx in anticipation

Hi guys, very sorry for taking so long to get back, have been ill.

Spoke to manager and d2d entry bloke and they said I WILL be paid but now not till after xmas as the d2d system is suspended over the period. There was no problem with the form being late it is rolled over to the next payment week so handing in 2 forms once a fortnight should not be a problem. We have a contract (unwritten in effect on an individual basis?) with RM and if they don't pay that is a breach of that contract as far as I'm concerned.

cheers all.

All the above answers are correct, as far as wages are concerned, but anyone looking at the percentage of door 2 door items delivered for that week at the office in question will take it that not all items were delivered. This is because it's the only way to measure the delivery performance. When the late claim is paid, i'm sure it does balance out.

they enter the payments on the computer its on the royal mail intrenet in pegasus (door to door payments )
they have a duty name
they have a postmans name under to it or you can add a postmans name to it
u have the delivery count (you can not claim more as there is a total thats in the system (A-PLUS)
they put a tick in the box next to your name under the duty
they click update (job done)
end of the week guess what

they only have to print a copy of payments and send them off (dont know why but can find out where ) but you could get the union to ask for a print out each week and put on the notice board if you really wanted
