CWU SUPPORTING INTRODUCTION OF MANCHESTER CONGESTION CHARGE

Post by TrueBlueTerrier »

I got this link through Google Alerts http://www.bowlandcentral.com/forum/sho ... hp?t=71727.

A couple of questions:

Is it true. Are the Union actively supporting a Congestion charge in Manchester.

If they are why are the declaring an opinion on a local matter outside of the Unions remit.

If they are why are they not declaring their position on their own website.

Pensions, Mail Centre Closures, Delivery Office future closures, attacks on out T&Cs, RMs unfair interpretation of agreements, Hooper Review, Warwick agreement and the next pay rise are all matter they should concentrate on, not a local congestion charge which will make it more expensive to go to work for local postal workers.

CWU SUPPORTING INTRODUCTION OF MANCHESTER CONGESTION CHARGE

If I was living in manchester, I wouldn't be voting for it, it would be giving the local authority a licence to print money and the promised Govt funding may be withdrawn for any reason, i.e. Credit crunch or simply whoops got our sum wrong etc

in short I do not trust the Council and Govt in no shape or form, after London and this Govt track record, I hope the people of Manchester are cynical enough to fcuk it off to high port.

I`am sure the CWU members do not support this.
So why is our union supporting it.Why don`t the union ask us the members before they come out with something like this.
Or don`t we count anymore. :no no :no no :no no
