Geo-Route and overtime

Post by ORANGE »

I am interested to hear from any offices that are currently doing geo or have done geo, with reference to working o/t to complete. We are bieng told that because its on trial we are expected to complete, and looking at the duties they are a complete mess, has some body been in this situation and cut off following proper procedure of course, and any conseqences that have arisen from such action.

You work your hours you are under no obligation to complete the delivery if you are going to have to go into overtime thats is why it's a trial if it can not be completed then it's got to be altered it's not your problem ..geo route is a management tool to increase the delivery load on a postperson it will not work in your favour i personaly would not do the o/t on principal why should anyone want to screw themselves by finishing the duty of on o/t is beyond me

Book OT if you want to cut off if you want to

My office starts week 4 of geo route/pegasus in the morning and OT has been booked so far o some days especially as its been heavy the last 3 weeks also the manager is making sure he has at least 1 spare person a day which means day off working oppurtunities.

Re pick starts week 5 and untill then and weve all setlled down I dont think he cares too much about the budget as were simply putting in some of the hours we took out. Unless we are going back up to mand over the previous budget then savings ares till being made just not as much as RM like

In my area we have a 12 week review so untill then senior mangament need to bite their toungue and put up with us going over budget especially as weve got 3 off on medium to long term sick leave.
