dress code/standards

does RM have any specific dress code for delivery staff?

Yes you are customer facing so you should have all the uniform on,this includes RM trousers,shoes/boots,shirt,Viz jacket,etc,as you know most of us wear bits of uniform and wear things that comply like shorts and trousers try and stick with navy but try and keep to the shirts or polo's,foot ware seems to be the hot subject down here along with viz jackets.

but what about having shirts tucked in ,shaving,hair,piercings etc
IIRC ive never seen anything in black & white regarding this from RM
usually its one of the documents you sign @ induction

The shirt and blouse should be worn tucked into the trousers, shorts, skirt or culottes. Ensure that jewellery is not a potential safety hazard - do not wear dangling items that could be trapped in machinery. Jewellery should not detract from the overall image, e.g. jewellery appropriate to wearing on the head would be small unobtrusive items in the ear or nose. Hair should be kept clean neat and tidy and should not detract from the overall image (would presume that this would also apply to beards and moustaches being kept neat and tidy). To maintain the trust and confidence of the external customer, work clothing must be worn in such a way as to present a credible image. Wearers should never by act or appearance bring the Post Office or any of its businesses into disrepute.
