If you tell your DOM that you're not prepared to work any OT this Christmas then can they move you off your duty?

The DOM in my DO has had a major hissy fit and has threatened all those who have declined to work Christmas pressure OT to be moved onto PT duties (for which they'll be paid their FT wages :d'oh! ).

The duty might be part time but your hours remain the same, so what will he have you doing for the additional hours?

It's not me but others who have been threatened, and I suppose they'd be put on IPS then prep then delivery but what goes on in the DOM's mind is a complete mystery to me

Overtime! TBH if I was a Manager and I was faced with the same situation I would do the same. It would alleviate the problem of finding someone to cover the excess.

The main reason I ask this question is that if they can get away with moving people off their duty at Christmas then will they start to move them at any time just on a managers whim which will lead to even more industrial relation problems.
