He did not say too much about the royalmail but what he did say was he did not achieve all change he wanted!. He also said change cannot come from the top down but by changeing the culture from the bottom up to the top!. Well it looks the total opposite of what i have seen in all my time with royalmail while he :lfo is/was in charge it is time he :lfo listened and turned the microphone off and his hearing-aid up!. THE HUNDRED AND TWENTY THOUSAND OR SO WILL SOON HAVE THEIR SAY AND THIS TIME LISTEN TO US ALL!. :lfo :lfo :lfo :lfo :lfo :lfo

as for it taking a bit of time to get the people at the bottom of the company to change their thinking.....correct mate you could spin your web of lies for a 1000 year and i still wouldnt listen

style is completely top down , that's what's caused a lot of problems for everyone bar his Senior & Middle Managers - he's having a laugh ! - secondly , a hybrid Archie Norman / Old School RM command and control style only works with simple systems , simple companies - sorry but I don't think RM comes into that category

- it's like throwing a brick out of a window - OK , you can predict where it is going to land - RM is more like a pigeon - you've no idea where it will land - if you're clever , unlike :lfo , :cfo and RM , you get people together locally , decide where you need your pigeon and put down bird seed .

the fear culture doesn't work as you lose good will - the only "answer" on Planet RM is more bullying

the culture is very unhealthy anyway , it failed with IBM , that's where he got the idea from - that worked well , everybody jumped ship and formed their own companies which made better and more successful products , Microsoft , Packhard to name but a few .

I like the management speak about not achieving what he set out to do i.e. sweetheart in-house union & privatization - sour grapes from a despised defeated man : Good riddance :lfo :cfo :mfo - w**kers the lot of them !

I know I'm going against the flow here but he does seem a likeable sort of bloke, quite personable and seemingly intelligent. I would suggest he is totally self centred and cannot believe he is wrong, but we must remember it was a Labour Government who brought him in to do the job he has done. There may well be those in power who now consider it wasn't the best move in the world and looking at the Post Office debacle they may well be right. Crozier on the other hand is not a captain of industry and has a track record of failure unlike Leighton who despite his attitude has been successful. There must be a certain amount of disquiet when you see how many senior managers have left in the last two years and Leighton himself is jumping ship in March.

I wonder how much of the change has actually been Leightons doing and how much has been planned by others and he has fronted it, because he has had little to do with hands on in Royal Mail he has been led to believe the donkeys planning the changes knew what they were doing.

The record will show that he did a good job, reduced the pension liabilities, increased quality of service, managed to keep the business going even with the introduction of DSA. Mark my words.

Some people may not like what he did here or at Asda, but look at how he is regarded in the business world for the Asda turnaround.

he missed an ideal opportunity in his dealings with the unions.this will be his lasting legacy and if he had engaged in purposeful negotiations and taken the staff with him could of achieved more.when he leaves staff morale will be none existant,union and management dialogue at an all time low,what a legacy for his predessor.he is a likeable chap with his joe maplin monalogue and he is good at turning around businesses round but royal mail is a different kettle of fish.still expect to see 600 plasma screens on ebay ,rarely used cost a fortune to install bargain at ... please make cheque out to a.crozier
