can going bankrupt affect your position in royalmail

I would do a check with HR just to make sure but I can't see why.

Bankruptcy as far as I understand it is a legal method of settling or writing off debts. As it is a legal process and as long as no criminal activity has taken place I can see no reason why RM should even be informed, and if they are (like for deduction from Pay as the result of a court decision) why it would affect your status within RM.

I would do a search on line for the rules on bankruptcy. as I understand it the rules regarding bankruptcy have been much relaxed and of course the stigma is no longer there and if they didn't ask I wouldn't tell.

A LM that used to work at my office was made bankrupt (I saw the notice in the local paper), he still works as a LM at another office. So I guess its not a problem.

when my bankruptcy is enulled after a year hopefully can my pension lump sum (if i take it )be used for whatever reason i need (to survive on) or not cant seem to find out from anyone cheers in advance
