4 and a half hour deliveries

Can anyone advise me what the union at national level's policy is on a 4 and a half hour delivery as the rumour in our office is we will be put on it once xmas is out of the road . I presume it will be done with the aid of pegasus/georoute and I am sure I read on this forum that there is no national agreement on the use of this software and we should not be touching it with a bargepole. I have also heard that our area rep is pushing for this 4 and a half hour delivery as it's reckoned it will create a few full time jobs but we will also lose more hours through getting rid of part timers , so overall we will be losing more hours than we will be gaining. Dont know about anyone else but I am goosed after a 3 and a half hour delivery , perhaps they should be fitting seats to the high capacity trollies!!!!

You might try emailing the union for a definitive answer on what is and is not agreed - and I wish you luck.
