Micro waves don't work like that on corn, in order for corn to pop you need heat over 150C to cause the moisture to expand leading to the famous POP.

I recall reading somewhere that mobile phone companies are putting aside funds and taking out insurance
for the time when the court cases start against them.

Probably wise. There are already cases documented where the incidence of cancer exceeds the national average by over 500% in areas that, are ,strangely enough , "hotspots" where mobile transmissions from neighbouring masts interact and amplify each other

We've got a mobile phone mast on top of Mount Pleasant MC.

If it's a Tetra mast I would leave. The Microwave emissions from those are so powerful ,you could be buried under six miles of rock and still chat away on your mobile.Watch out for increased incidence of nausea,migraines,nosebleeds,skin rashes ,apparently the boys in blue are dropping like ninepins according to bbc reports

Also, the Microwaves aren't strong enough to work that fast anyway. Although, they have been proved to be strong enough to slightly raise the temperature in the Human Brain. It takes a while for it to happen, and modern Mobiles are designed to be safer than the early Digital Mobiles. But it still happens. I've no idea whether the old Analogue ones were safe or not. But they don't sell them anymore anyway.
