this weeks two minute wtl make sure all surcharges are paid for & all business replies are recorded as we need to save has much money as possible to hit this years target ?

The boys must stop using the ladies toilets for obvious reasons,trouble is the mens are filthy ,our cleaner(SIC) is of sick at the moment and a replacment has not been down for a couple of days

:so you can imagine what the mens now resemble(a true s--t hole) resulting in some of the boys using the ladies

. I shouldnt say it but it was one of the better w.t.l sessions

we had, no more smoking after june in the building,new geo routes been worked on at the moment staff and union involved,no uniform at the moment apart from new shoes waterproofs etc ppe in otherwords seems the stores are shut down maybe because of the new uniform maybe because we are on a financial diet at the moment,although if we need anything we can go and buy it and and get our money back as my line manager pointed out this will cost more in the long run
i need a new fleece and asked him if i could have the bergahaus fleece come four way waterproof from go the outdoor shop but he would not pay the Â£120 the tight sod

our wtll was based on the financial situaton within royal mail,

the main points being

tnt ,dhl work 40 hr weeks ,royal mail employee work 36.6(dont know how they obtained this figure.
how much royal mail are losing money to downstream access,dont know how they can ge t a total to end of financial year.the packaging for this wtll was impressive with large posters and all staff having a4 sheets wanting our ideas(like turkeys vote for christmas)on how we can do this.

the main message i wanted asked was how come we are paying for past mistakes ie pension deficit royal mail taking an extended holiday from payments and yet we are the ones paying for it.

royal mail must employ business advisors who should be able to predict shortfalls,we have just done efficency cuts nationwide to counteract this,what the feck are they doing?
all financial figures qouted are questionable but it is well packaged,but some members still swallowed it hook ,line and sinker.
the one thing with controlling costs ,is us the staff and fuel are they expecting us to say get rid of us!!!

beware of this wtll session as they have part 2 next week,and if you havent had it yet you will do.

aint it funny how we all work for the same people, wtll is supposed to be national, and yet we all get something different,piss up and brewery comes to mind again

If you could see our notice boards you'd see that out of 6 sections no 2 WTLs are the same. Go Figure

We get absolutley zilch down at my office,for 10 minutes in my easy tuesday,i might have a word with the DOM to start it up, again,if only to piss him off.
And if he doesn't or just doesn't give at least some sort of decent info,then i'll let big Al know,yes thats right,i'm a pain

Our WTLL was thanking guys for coming in during the bad weather and also telling everybody about updating the walk-logs for hazards and any health and safety hazards on walks.Took bout 15 minutes without all the chit-chat.

We had a 12 minute vid about miss-delivery can't remember what the other 22 minutes were about might of dosed off.

Ours was about lack of uniforms again and what we should do, i know its old news but do you know if you have a Doctors line saying you require different shoes from RM issue you can get Â£30 from RM towards them.
We were also briefed about all the contracts weve lost recently and believe me its a lot.
