Welcome Happynel. Your DoM is wrong only 4 weeks ago we had a ostie move from our office to one about 20 miles away.
2 solutions open to you - contact your rep or area rep and get their advice or contact the MCM of the MC you want to go to and see if he is willing to accept you, however, be prepared to get an upset DOM breathing down your neck or digging his heels in if you go behind his back.

That would depend entirely on the Manager of the Unit you are going to. However in reality I think it would be extremely difficult to transfer to a FT position at the moment as they would already have been filled by local staff. Of course you could fall on your feet and apply for a FT position when it becomes vacant, as with your seniority you would be quite high on the list. But, again seniority in relation to vacancies is under some pressure and may not be around soon.happynel wrote:Hi, Thanks for that, just one thing if i move will i be able to remain full time. This is something else the dom is saying full timers move to part-time, or is this more bull.
Thanks again. Happynel.

What about an RDC?
We've only got FT Duties in our RDC. And as far as I know, it's the same at all the others. They keep trying to introduce them. But they haven't succeeded yet.
It all depends on whether the RDC for your area, is within sensible travelling distance, and needs anyone. We've just had a round of VRs, but it's worth checking, if yours is any different.
