Duty holders at xmas and cutting off

Just a question , at xmas time we get a sheet to fill out regarding overtime and duty completion etc etc.

My question is we are told if we cannot complete our duty fully we will be moved off our normal duty as a duty holder, can they do this or is it just yet another threat?? Thanks.

Sound's like a threat but to move you off a duty you know and cannot complete you will only complete less on one you do not know!.

I say, let them move you off your duty because the easiest duty at Christmas is the spares (just do your time and go home and if they give you a van take it out and drive around until you get a phone call or you times up).

yea, that is good but would not get xmas tips then. I would get above the average on that bit. But its out of principle that i will only "work 40 hours that i am paid " any other time i would have had no probs at all.

last year they threatened to ban us from o-time if we threatened to cut off
i then asked for written confirmation that i would be banned from o-time from then on
they refused to comply suprise suprise
they also stated i wouldn,t get outward vouching o t
reply i dont want it anymore to late finished you see dont get proper breaks
line man actually looked bewildered with this
so i would imagine even more fun this year cos im working as in summer lapsing
my full hours
as for tips and missing them i received 10 quid my only one the area i del looks like 70s bronx lovely
and as for moving you yes they possibly can but cant touch start times or hours threatened to keep us indoors last yr renaged on that as well we wre looking to stay nice an cosy all pressure

They may be thinking that if they move you to a duty you dont know, you will not be able to tell before you go out how much you can deliver. They will tell you what to take out in order to complete within your duty time. You would have difficulty in arguing a case if you dont know the duty. I would suggest an agreement is made before you go out to bring back what cant be delivered. That would bo**ocks em up. Bet you would be back on your own duty next day.

We are running a book on the first delivery not to go out of the office as they are cutting so many hours and were on the sorting longer,full time duties have been turned over to part time to save hours so those people don't do any sorting they come in later so less staff on the sorting again,taking staff of sorting to do walk prep so again less on sorting,hence the bet i think coffee is the prize.
