It was 1991, a packet of seeds, a car sticker and 10 stamps
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

They did grow into a giant beanstalk. :lfo and :cfo climbed up it and found the goose which laid the golden eggs.
They stole the golden eggs, and are are in the process of killing the goose which laid them, aided and abetted by the
Wicked Baron :mfo ......BOO! HISS!

Or am I confusing pantomime with reality in this panto season? :hmmmm :Very Happy

Remember that I was working in the office which delivered to Brian coburn who was the then Post Office chairman and we were delivering a bag a day of flower seeds back to him from all parts of the union as must go down as a massive own goal for the Post Office was not only making big profits but the government was taking millions out every year thanks to the EFL external finance limit. What a con that was.

Remember the packet of seeds farce very well :Very Happy

RM had the p**s taken out them by the national media.

Bill Cockburn (a precursor of :cfo ) seemed to think it was a great idea "sharing" some free seeds they'd been given with "Front Line Operational Employees", or whatever TQM guff they were told to call us back then. He was an idiot too. After failing in his remit to break the CWU, he scuttled off to W.H.Smith and they soon declared the first ever loss in their history. A very seedy character.

He actually was brought in to privatise RM and when that fell through he scuttled off to WH Smith. He was the first "big" earner as head of RM and I bet he wishes he'd stayed after seeing Adams wedge - no pun intended.
