i must have missed something so i would be grateful if anyone could explain the official line as to why these deals are all encompassing.
we are told its this years PAY deal although it encorporates a massive series of changes.
I mean a f**k*ng book comes out when we are balloted, so we're not being balloted on whether we accept or reject 2.5% but really
do we accept 2.5%
+ the guarantee of inferior pensions ( coz that campaigns ended )
+ significant reduction in union negotiation (wording has changed from negotiation to consultation, two very different words)
+ significant changes to working practices
+ being balloted to sign a blank agreement (i say this as annex's 1 and 2 or was it A and B did not exist until some time after the result of the ballot was known. we were promised by our area rep we would have the annexes in with our ballot paper. When that came lo and behold no flipping annex, we asked branch and they said perhaps it just you, so we canvassed the entire office and guess what no one had them. We appraoched branch again they said "strange that" we asked for their copy as a matter of urgency all to no avail)

I strongly believe that when the area reps, div reps and branch officials go to HQ on these jolly ups, they are told to hold back information from mere mortals and working members like ourselves.
Confused... You won't be, after the next episode of. SOAP

Chuffed to bits, I thought for sure it was only 1.5% so a 5% pay cut ,but a 2.5% rise and 4% pay cut is a real surprise result ,happy bunny :hmmmm
