buying additional annual leave

how much is it to purchase more annual leave, and if i do, can i still use it in this current year

I had been buying leave for the past 5 years when F/T is was £9 per week,then went to 28 hr contract & it cost £7 per week then you get full 6 weeks,but been out for a year so it might be a bit more now, with everything else going up.

Basically it costs 2 weeks of your basic pay divided by 52 - no you cant start it this year. From what I remembered it could only start the next year because of the costs involved. You would have to pay the 2 weeks pay over the next 20 weeks or so.

Those of us that get the 6 weeks due to length of service are being discriminated against as we can't buy another 2 weeks if we want to. 8 weeks leave plus a couple of weeks sickie-yipeeeeeeeee!

I know what you mean, I would buy more leave if I could... pay cash up front too!

Maybe even afford another 2 or 3 weeks.

You get a form from your Dom if he's a good Dom then he will sort it out for you & send it of, & it's not an extra 2 weeks it's about 8-9 days,it's your basic 4 weeks 3 days, then made up to 6 weeks.On your holiday forms it's called purchased A/L.

the year you are taking it, you pay. It comes out of your pay weekly.
