Sky Magazine Stitchup

I don't know what the time limit for delivering the Sky Magazines is other offices,but in my Office it is supposidly 2days (although this is never really enforced).
This months sky magazines arrived in our office on Friday meaning we had until Saturday to deliver them.
As I do a rest day cover duty & the person whos duty I was covering that day always leaves me the sky magazines when they come in, I thought I would return the favour & leave them for him.
On Saturday Morning I was pulled to one side by his line Manager & told that I face being done for wilfull delay of mail as I did not take out half of his magazines for him, I explained that what goes around comes around & that as far as I was concerned I had not broken any Royal Mail Rules.
I was Told that I may hear more about this later.
Then When I returned from my Delivery Today (monday), I noticed that the route I am doing tomorrow has two trays of sky magazines still left to be delivered,
Of course there were no managers around for me to point this out too when I got back, so once again I have been well & truly stitched up

I despair of my office & most of my so called work colleagues.

What would people suggest is the best LEGAL way of dealing with my situation?

Have a word with your union rep. He should approach the manager on your behalf to sort the situation out. When the Sky mags come out next month all parties will be aware of the problem.

It depends, are you going to be over your time? If not then just take them out and stay out until your time and if they make you over then tell them that your not able to work over your time.

Sky mag's for next month it is a two month edition for october/november!. Next sky mag's at the end of november!. HOPE THIS HELP'S BUT I WOULD FEEL

It looks like even sky are trying to save money (credit crunch) but I suppose it makes are life a bit easier over the Christmas pressure.

Sky say it's to do with the enviroment be we know better!.

Sky mags came in on Friday last week and as I was on day off Saturday, followed by annual leave this week, I took the lot, as well as a massive postout by the local council, another one by the local planning office for half my walk and a ton of mailsort, and I didn't leave a single thing on my frame. My day off cover is also covering my week off and when I go back next week I know that the frame will be clear. It always is.

Surely we the overpaid and underworked, should be standing together, helping each other, not fighting among ourselves. It's no wonder that management will stand back and watch as we destroy the unity we achieved last year. It'll save them a fortune.

do we all reallise we pay for the mag - £1.25 for each issue , i bet our sky subscription for november is going to be the same....

if so , then if you make a quick calculation 7.5 million sky customers , multiply by £1.25 , means they are saving 9.2 million pound , at OUR expense......

I don't know about your Office, but in mine, half of the staff especially the Drivers are back stabbers, If you try to do the decent thing play by the rules, they will walk all over you and show you no respect, I got a reputation of being difficult and awkward (their perspective) I see it as standing up for myself, there are some lazy scumbags that gossip behind my back, cuts corner and try to leave sh1t jobs for me, currently I am a driver, I am contemplating going back on delivery and just look after my corner fcuk everybody else except those that I really trust of which there is about 6 of them, at times like this, I really do wish we could scrap saturday deliveries no floaters = nobody to stitch you up= sacked lazy floaters.

sorry but that is how I feel, I don't think this problem is unique in my Office.

For a start NEVER go in with a manager on your own. No rep about? Then take in a friend to witness what is being said. You acted very quickly here without thinking and I believe said the wrong thing. By saying what you have said you are, in effect admitting to wilful delay BUT if I were you I'd be using my camera phone and photographing those Sky mags as proof. This could then be used in a bullying/ harassment case. Why pick on you when it seems common practice with other members of staff? A retraining issue; nothing more. Maybe a WTLL issue which could also be mentioned by your rep for something to be brought up next weeks session.

We have a similar problem in our office because rotation men can't be bothered taking their fair share of Sky mags. Drives you mad it does. Strangely though, havn't seen any in ages.

Its a trickey one. One of our reliefs took out quite a lot, but some more came in and the regular girl thought he had not done enough. She realy lost it and they are not speaking at all. This was all stirred up by someone else who missunderstood the situation. Grin and bear it. Don't get mad get even.
