This is a question to any rep that has had any dealings with RTA's involving drivers in royal mail vehicles.
As most of us know the majority of accidents are investigated by managment with the police getting involved if the accident is of a serious nature, but has anybody known of any accident being investigated by a private accident investigator company.
The reason i ask is i heard that a distribution office is using a company to investigate all accidents at the cost of over £900 a time, the company they use also seem to take there time to visit the scene of an accident, sometimes several weeks.
Iv spoken to several reps in my area (north) and none of them have ever had any dealings with this outside company, is this the same around the rest of the country.

I would initially put pen to paper and express your own individual concerns to our Union's Health & Safety Department and see what they think of it.
