if someone leaves royal mail but returns immedietly do they retain their seniority?,

I believe it used to be if you rejoined within six months it counted as unbroken service, not sure if that is still the case but thats what i was told.

What's the rules on a postie becoming a Manager then sfter a period of time, returning to postal duties?
If you think they can get away with it then they can! fight for your rights!!

No idea, but two of our managers have done it so it must be possible, senior management tried very hard to stop the last one doing it, but as far as i know he is now doing postal duties but back in his own office.

They do keep their seniority (including their time as a Manager) - Way Forward Agreement.
There's a couple in my MC have done that.

According to the Way Forward Agreement, "service must be continuous for seniority purposes" - "unless there are
exceptional circumstances applying to particular cases that are agreed at local level".
