Phase 3
The screws have been on the offensive all summer and have introduced phase 3 in our office meaning 3 walks have been permenantly lapsed, and that we all have to cover an average of 25 points extra a day,on the other side of town naturally.
I previously thought this would only be for the 16 week summer period, but now we have been blessed with the priviledge all year round.
I have been refusing to do the extra all week and have been doing the job properly coming in on time taking a break and using a bike and there's nothing the screws can do as I work to time.
The mugs are still coming in early/using cars and so far most have been getting done but it's early days yet.
Has any other office had this crap forced down their throats?

Phase 3
Firstly nice to see RM chat back up an running,we are having exactly the same as you, there are those that said earlier that they will not be able to do the extra ,but are they are coming in early to throw off thier mail i like your self start on time take my meal relief do the job properly, managers keep telling me the mail is light and it can be done.i invite them to come along with me in the van any day of the week ,but up to now they have declined my offer, they KNOW that i will bring mail back only working up to my contracted hours, which then means they have to take it out themselfes, and with autumn pressure coming up its set to get worse.....YOU ARE UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO WORK PAST YOUR CONTRACTED HOURS PROVIDING YOU HAVE WORKED EACH DAY TO YOUR TIME.

Phase 3
2 lapsed walks in ours with indications it will be all year not just summer .... lapsed walks need to be thrown off before allowed to leave depot. Guv now goes straight to agency for casuals and rumour has it £16hr paid to agency with minimum 5 hrs paid to casuals on £5-£6/ hr. Boycotted overtime in a bid to show how financially stupid this arrangement is, revised rate for 1/3 walk 1hr 20 as walked prepped before we leave office so leaving 4 hrs shared between 3 people for actual delivery!!!
Bloody nuisance site off line as union seem unable to sort out this idea of permanent lapsing and could have done with seeing how others have reacted to lapsing walks.

Phase 3
We've just signed a agreement (what a bad deal all this local agreement stuff is!) whereby the Rep will be detached in September, to discuss with DOM, what lapsing will be done and what level of traffic will kick the lapsing in, so my understanding is if the traffic is above the agreed amount then no lapsing will be done. We'll see what kind of traffic is going to be a minimum, and see how they keep to it.
Reagrding savings we're £20,000 under budget at the moment, so it looks as though we will be getting some sort of bonus.
Regarding phase 3, I think we have to try and make this work for us, now that there have to be meetings between DOM and Rep every week, and hopefully some sort of facility time will be made available. Plus they have to print out a lot more info for us to look at, it's up to all of us to look at the notice board and see that this is being done.
We've also got Georoute coming in here as well, so loads of changes and none of them good :(

Phase 3
Phase 3 is the begining of the end for all of us it is (TEAMWORKING) through the backdoor each unit will have too staff each day according to workload and cover for one another!. All for our £5.14 pennce payrise which i take we all received on the 8/08/08. Eight is a lucky number for some :cfo & :lfo maybe when we are all forced to work the full eight hour's a day we are paid we will not give up our time and our transport so willingly as we have done so over the year's gone passed!. Our fight will continue and we shall never give up NEVER!.

Phase 3 & part timers
Can get my head round employing p/t staff once walk sequence machines kick in and i understand coded trays will be sequenced by house number and road order so massive reduction in prepping time. Does the RM vision have any room for full time staff and if so what percentage ? Flats and some other bits may be hand sorted and prepped but untill walk sequencing machines kick in there is a serious danger of sorting time being subject to cut off if they get full/part time ratio wrong .

Phase 3
So many full-timers in my office now have either been sacked on sickness or willfull delay!! Anything that they can get rid of a full-timer seems to be the case! TBH i hate working in that kinda worry, if they came and asked me to buy down of hours with a payment i would prob do it just to ease pressure in my mind as part-timers dont seem to be high on hit list, any one else agree?????

that 3 will have to buy down and no doubt when walk sequencing arrives, more
will have to go.

Phase 3
In our place they want over ten full-time down to part-time without even the mearest hint of a date
of sequencing.
Anybody else having disagreements ignored??
of sequencing.

Phase 3
If you are forced by RM to reduce your hours then they must prove that the work is no longer there and not just paying some PTer to do the work on OT.
