Post by k979aaa »

Your pension 08 is the pension illustration which we recive each year from the trustee's of the royalmail pension plan, We will all get one of these soon if you are a member of the royalmail pension plan!. Now the real cost to me is clear if i retire at sixty my total pension is £9000 if i retire at 65 it is £11900 !. So i must work five year's more or lose £2900 every year thereafter. :evil/mad remember your own illustation will arive soon some will lose more some less than i have!.

I've just received my illustration and it says that if I retire at 60 I will get £8,000 and if I retire at 65 I will get £10,750.
I think we have ourselves to blame for this, because when the consultation took place hardly anyone even bothered to phone the hotline. One person I spoke to threw his letter detailing the pension proposals in the bin saying he wouldn't be in RM in 30 years time.

Mines even worse I only get 1/2 my pension retiring at 60 (not be in long)

£2700 at 60 and £4400 at £65 - neither is a good figure so I am glad I have my own private pension sorted.
