Royal Mail managers are already talking about the cuts they will make next year on top if those planned with DM26.

No one voted for that. There will be no jobs to save at this rate because no one will want to stay anyway.

The exact same issues came up with the ODM trial. It worked fine in small offices. When it was rolled out in large urban offices it was a catastrophe requiring an ridiculous number of walks to be reinstated. DM26 is no different. DM27 would be no different.

My theory is 20 years of budget squeezing has ripped far too much out of large units for far too long. Small offices have either been overlooked or the efficiency gains were nonexistant/too marginal.

Let me put it this way: if you were forced to build a house of cards, you'd only attempt it with half a dozen rather than the entire deck.

you will never get walsh , ward and the other cronies to crawl from under their stones and face there wage paying members regarding this s**t show they had done , f***ing cowards , managers at our place are just pushing through due to start in a few weeks and the 2 reps have done nothing , even though staff have told them it isnt workable as we are under staffed , dutys havent changed and not achievable but heho it just falls on deaf ears . we have had 2 senior staff leave this week and theres 2 more going next week , its just great to see that the cwu are doing the companys job and saving money for them by pushing ageing staff and staff with any disability out the door because the extra work isnt doable , well i wont be starting the dm26 as i finish this saturday thanks to martin and dave , and all i can say is good luck to you all for the future . over and OUT.

The same in my DO, we've gone from a 2pm finish, meaning that we could watch local football or rugby matches to a 3pm finish. Most week days also seem an hour or so later finishes.

I'm not sure getting an extra Saturday off a month is worth all the late finishes. If I was a new starter I wouldn't take the job.

All the union talked about was getting extra Saturday's but made no mention of all the later finishes.

Do you work in a nice office with walks that are 3 hours long?
Have some respect for those who are struggling mentally & physically with the workload. Some offices have got 5+ hour walks and have substantial vacancies, it is in these offices where people are coming under severe stress & pressure to do more,more,more even though they can’t complete even 50% of their walk.
Bully for you that you can be so blase & just shrug off overwhelming pressure from management but at least have respect for those who are affected by a huge workload & toxic environment. You’re obviously a WUM!!

Agree with everything you say ,but they're never Gona to reply if anyone starts abusing them online . Posties have too stick together in there offices and say it's to much in personal life, health and safety,and most importantly customer service will be effected.Thevonly thing in our office not all will stick together and still Rush round

the only offices it works are those with DPR's
