Drug and Alcohol testing

Post by WelshBlueShirt »

Has this come in anywhere yet ?

Does anyone know the process for it ?

Are they random spot checks, or can they be requested to come into an office ?

We've not been given much detail. But then again we never get any details of anything off our managers.

It's not random; they do it if they suspect you're under the influence. You'll then be taken to a room, and whoever does the testing will be summoned. There's a 6 month amnesty - with some agreed exemptions - if you test positive. Support should then be offered, as opposed to any disciplinary action.

What is the process for requesting it ? If you suspect. As from what i can see, our local managers don't have a clue.

Think the process is just if you're suspected of being under the influence testing will be requested.

In reality, rogue managers may well use the process to get those the don't like tested in the hopes of pissing them off or catching them under the influence.
