50/50 Savings Agreement

Hello, I work in a medium sized delivery office and we were informed a while back that we would be getting a bonus from about Â£100,000 savings from the office budget. Just last week our DOM has said that we now will be getting no bonus whatsoever because the savings are being taken from week 32 and not the start of the year due to the union requesting this.Obviously many of us are unhappy about this, can anybody throw some light on this please.Has anyone else experienced problems like this?

same thing has happened in our office, during the strikes last year we were gettin imformed that we wil be gettin 50/50 on the office savings. Now i know during the strikes we saved alot of money, as ever office would have but our stupid DOM kept saying no no your defo gettin these savings in april/may! load of bollocks frm the top again! we wil be gettin our 92p!

We probably are getting nothing as because of gio-route they took out so many walks and made the rest longer than 3.5hrs that they had to pay docket to get them done. SO no budget left and no 50/50 bonus.

IMHO it was a scam anyway. They set the target and then you only get 50% of savings beyond their target. OK in theory but in practice when you have no input, no say on the budget and are not told how well you are doing (or not) its an empty gesture designed to make RM look efficient and modernising.

I heard that a DO over here had it's bonus stopped because they were on strike last year but I don't know if it's true (anyone from Mallusk like to spread any light on it)

Well beat this. We were moved to an office some 12 miles away. We didn t want to move, but the area manager told us it would save Â£250,000.00 so there would be no arguments.

So I asked him when I could expect my share of the Â£125,000.00 we would all be getting.

He now works in another department.

You get excess fares money for 3 years. Not sure how its worked out. Its done by mileage.

if you are talking about newtownabbey you are almost right,our dom had pushed us all year to make these savings and we where all about to get aboutÂ£250-300 then lo and behold RM say they are taking back money lost to the strike and if we are lucky we may get Â£70 pro-rata i dont know how they worked this out but im sure it wasnt for our benefit.
on a lighter note the unmentionables who attended during the strike will get exactly the same GOOD TO SEE RM REWARDING LOYALTY so hopefully if we have to ever go on the street again these people will now understand how much they are appreciated by RM and will join us

We had a poster put up yesterday showing area bonuses, top of the league get Â£268,,, we are bottom Â£6;00

obviously not a yes office

Our office made no savings so we're getting nowt. In fact we overspent by Â£100,000
