try googling amway technique it would be poetic justice if he got rid of some of his managers and they were forced to go knocking doors trying to sell overpriced rubbish or get people to join them . The word cult was mentioned on one of the sites , I'd swap the L for another letter .

The story is imho utter tripe and not at all balanced or informative things I think a successful news site would try to be. It mentions in passing that there is a problem in communicating from the top down and also mentions the success that has been the plasma screens. But it seems to blame most of it on the Union and barely seems to mention managements roll in this.

If seems to intimate that the failing of Royal Mail and its inefficiencies is all down to the workers, but the good guys at the top are doing their best. Of course we all know how Royal Mail has improved its efficiency and service levels. By cancelling 2nd deliveries, earlier last collections, no collections on Sundays, later deliveries. Now please correct me if I am wrong but did not the Union and members of RMC disagree with these.

I find it pretty galling when this guy talks about having MPs and the Government pulling our nuts out of the fire as though it is unheard of that the Government should actually support an industry that it owns, when a private Bank like Northern Rock was given billions of taxpayers money to save investors. What better investment than ensuring Royal Mail survives despite such unfair competition,

The story is imho utter tripe and not at all balanced or informative things I think a successful news site would try to be. It mentions in passing that there is a problem in communicating from the top down and also mentions the success that has been the plasma screens. But it seems to blame most of it on the Union and barely seems to mention managements role in this.

It seems to intimate that the failing of Royal Mail and its inefficiencies is all down to the workers, but the good guys at the top are doing their best. For someone who claims to be apolitical , this article can be all boiled down to the usual bitter amoral Thatcherite tripe , you must bend over boys for a corporate shafting like we've had to ,80's Macho Management is OK , the corporate "utopia" of teamwork that's just sugar to swallow s**t with and is deliberately destructive and divisive RM style to sideline the CWU , the endless tiresome union bashing- sour grapes about Burslem ? , we've been robbed on pensions so you have to take it as well , please don't go on strike boys and the thinly veiled threats of privatization as punishment .

His articles beg more questions than answers and there is far too little mention of management's role in RM's dire Industrial Relations bar Leighton's bullish approach .He does make a couple of good points about Managers having to defend RM without the tools for the job and neglecting people .

When he goes on about private pensions going under as well, he neglects to mention that RM and therefore the Government were still taking the contributions during the pension holiday. Why should the Govt. sort out this pension mess, well they stole the money so they should pay it back.
