Pay Cut?

Has anyone else had a pay cut in this weeks wages?

My "Pay Rate" has gone from Â£342.47 to Â£333.57 which is paycut of 2.6%

Is this a mistake or is this something else we supposedly agreed to?

Ah, is it something to do with the end of the tax year, with this being week 53 of the year?

It still seems fishy to me :(

Shouldn't be as the quoted amount is gross pay rather than net. Mine has stayed the same at Â£332.20.

Anything to do with buying extra holidays?

I get the same rate as you and I buy the extra 1 1/2 weeks.

as were told it is only 6 days

original holidays we can book is 24 and when we buy the extra leave we get 30?

Ah, I did ask if I could buy the holidays but I figured they hadn't bothered - it doesn't show up in my entitlement.
Perhaps it will when I next have a look.

I hope they haven't charged me Â£5 per week for only two days holidyay!

4 1/2 weeks holiday is what we're given plus 1 1/2 weeks purchased = 6 weeks or 30 days

I think we get 20 days plus 0.5 a day per years service. I also carried 4.5 over from last year so I have 28 days holiday this year before I purchase the rest. If they only let me purchase 2 days for Â£250 rather than the full 6.5 I won't be very happy.

Where on earth are you getting that idea ?

I have my leave sheet for the 2008/2009 leave year, and official annual leave entitlement is as follows:

New Entrants - basic holiday entitlement is 22.5 days
After 10 years service, this rises to 23.5 days
After 15 years service, this rises to 26 days
After 20 years service, this rises to 30 days

When it comes to buying extra holiday, I'm wondering though if the weekly deduction stays the same ?
Because if you've got more than 10 years service, that Â£5 a week buys you 6.5 days extra leave (to give you the 30). But that is poor value if you've got more than 15 years service, as the same amount buys you only 4 extra days ???

Might as well cancel the deduction, keep your 26 days entitlement and throw a sickie for 4 days

My basic entitlement is shown as 23.5 which I believe is 20+0.5 per year of service.

Are holidays different for the whole country then?

It should be 22 1/2 days or 4 1/2 weeks unless you get more days than the rest of us
