New postie in Wales

Post by CrynwrDrwg »

Hi all,

I'm an immigrant, but have been living in the Valleys in Wales for a few years now.

Have done my first few days as a postie. Route was in the local town centre, which I found quite fun to do!

On Monday, I'll start training for "my" route, though I know we bounce between what's needed. Though, manager has told everyone in a meeting that parcel only runs 1100-1900 might start being a thing soon, and I've shared my interest, so might even be doing that instead! Who knows?

Really enjoying the job so far, it's much better than my last one & what I'm used to, really. Hope to enjoy it for the next few years to come!

Hello mate and welcome to the mad house!
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
