Geo Route Info

Post by Charlotte4 »

Part of a current disagreement we have in our office revolves around saving on town delivereis. We have been offered a revision using geo route.

Does anyone have any experience of this system.

yeah stay away from it!!!
we had it intruduced but we were way under on hours to start with so we had 1 full time job bought back in and 3 part time made up to 39 hours
but the normal rule is its there to reduce hours and its very harsh most offices that have had in are loosing hours left right and center

I am not a reserve but occasionaly they take me off my walk and put me in the callers office - Then I only do 20% per day as required by their rules. If the guy covering me hasn't done it thats for the manager to find out and sort out. Not me.

If it's like Pegasus the tool is a good one but the results are entirely based on the data that is imputed. Walk speed can be entered as any rate so if DOM says 8mph then the walks will come out huge. Drop rates (number of house in a hundread that are called at per day) can also be set, if DOM says 60% walks will come out huge. If 1mph and 100% drop rate is entered walks will come out small. In other words, the program can and will be manipulated to meet your DOM's wishes for walk numbers unless there is an agreement taken out for the figures that will be entered.
