tax on ill health lump sum
does anyone know about the amount of tax due on ihr lump sums?..i got the new derisory 16 weeks pay (the amount that the union agreed to accept after selling us out)...plus the obligatory 12 weeks p.i.l.o.n. so just short of 15 grand. yet i have paid £1558 in tax.....can this be correct? i was under the impression tax was only due on the p.i.l.o.n, which at 12 weeks should of been a hell of a lot less than the £1558. i feel like ive been robbed.
