Sorry bit of a do gooder here. I do them every time and it gets me goat when the cover guys don't do their share. If planned ok its not too much of a pain and anyway you can get done for delay of mail if you don't do them. Might not like parts of the job but not risking it for 1.67p per item.

Judging by the amount that gets returned to the WBC, i'd say there's a lot who don't do them.
There is a WBC in the RDC where I work, and we often see half a Trailer load per day (sometimes MORE than a Trailer full!) coming back to us for recycling. I don't know how many they send out, as that happens before I start. But it seems like a lot of returns to me.

On the contrary
These Polls give a good insight into what's happening in the real World. That's the advantage with the annonymity that RMC gives people.Night Tonic wrote:These polls get more daft than ever. Might as ask who turns up for work or who scratches their arse.
For example: I thought, from the amount of D2D Returns that we get, that there were far fewer people doing them than there actually are. According to this Poll, there is far more point in Customers paying for D2Ds, than I would have thought at first.
So you tell me Night Tonic. How else would you suggest getting this information?
If it was done via the "have your say" Survey, you would only get a snapshot, once a year. If you are curious inbetween, the only way of finding out, that I know of, is to use a Poll. You could hardly ask people at a Team Brief, as the ones that don't do it properly wouldn't exactly say so in front of a Manager, would they?

It's a fairly simple and easy question to answer, moggymoz is interested in whether others do their D2D'S,when and how.Night Tonic wrote:These polls get more daft than ever. Might as ask who turns up for work or who scratches their arse.
And the problem with it is..........

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Perhaps because a certain Postal News site wouldn't be interested in it.POSTMAN wrote:It's a fairly simple and easy question to answer, moggymoz is interested in whether others do their D2D'S,when and how.Night Tonic wrote:These polls get more daft than ever.
