shunted by royal mail vehicle
returning to my do,stopped at red light,rm van shunted into rear of my van.not once, not twice, but 3 times.the 3rd shunt jarred my back, when i asked him what was he doing.he replied he was having a laugh.i retold this to a line manager, who asked him what had happened,he denied it.prehaps i should have a laugh and officially report the incident, and state "attack with a motor vehicle resulting in actual bodily harm"never a dull day at my do.the area is monitered by cctv

If it's all on CCTV, then you should take the matter further. Particularly as you hurt your back in the incident. If you don't, and you have problems in the future, you won't be able to prove that it happened at work.the undertaker wrote:returning to my do,stopped at red light,rm van shunted into rear of my van.not once, not twice, but 3 times.the 3rd shunt jarred my back, when i asked him what was he doing.he replied he was having a laugh.i retold this to a line manager, who asked him what had happened,he denied it.prehaps i should have a laugh and officially report the incident, and state "attack with a motor vehicle resulting in actual bodily harm"never a dull day at my do.the area is monitered by cctv
As the imbicile obviously thought that it was harmless fun (what a w****r!), I doubt that you would get anywhere by claiming that he was trying to assault you. But you do have an alternative. If you make a complaint, and he admits what happened, it needn't become a disciplinary matter (unless you want it to!). It can be delt with informally.
More importantly, if you let him get away with it, he will probably do it again to someone else.

Morons like him should not be let loose behind a wheel. Agree entirely with colleagues suggestions but first and foremost get it reported as an accident. To remind colleagues also - all accidents / incidents are now reported electronically via the Royal Mail ERICA system - Electronic Reporting of Incidents for Collating and Analysis. When the new ERICA system came online all local accident books were to be returned.
