How to move to another depot?

Post by Postmanpat6312 »

I see a post person job on an external site, but I am wondering how I can apply to it? I don’t see any post person jobs on the internal success factors site,

Do you mean you want to transfer? Go to the delivery office you want to work at and speak to the manager to see if there is a place for you. If they are agreeable then put in for a transfer.

Or put yourself on the transfer list, then you get options when vacancies become available. :cuppa

Just transferred to another DO. Easiest thing ever. Just speak to your current Manager and let them know which DO you'd prefer to transfer to. My transfer was done in less than a month, with my Manager handling everything.

Also ask your manager if you can maybe do a trial at the office you want to go to. As I found out a couple months ago it may not be any better or in fact worse than the office you are at.

Are you the old contract or on one of the new contracts already?

If you had an old contract are you keeping it or having to sacrifice your terms and conditions to move office?

I was told by the office I wanted to move to that I would switch to the new contract and would have to work Sundays in a different office miles away. I asked the union if that was correct and they had no idea. I have yet to find anything in writing about what the policy is.

That's what I heard too.

Thought that maybe Lee.uk might have managed to move without getting shafted. Or that maybe the business might have finally taken a more reasonable stance
