Sick pay info

Post by wolves4767 »

Hi all, looking for some information please!. I recently had just under 6 months off after a cancer operation. I've been back at work 4 months on full duties but on my last check up they found something that needs further investigation. Don't know if this is right but I thought we got 6 months full & 6 months half pay that reset only after 4 years?. So my point I'm asking is if I'm off again due to requiring treatment will I get sick at half rate foe 6 months and then nothing? Ie no sick pay for any absence for 4 years till it resets to normal .any info wold be great

I’d talk this through with your manager and then double check with a union rep. It may technically count as the same absence. good luck though 🙏
