We're about to start the revision process at our delivery office and I decided to look at our AWD because it seems like we are short of hours every week for the duties we have. Turns out our AWD should be 1009 hours, but on the system (RCS?) it is only 1001 - meaning we are 8 hours down each week before we start.
I know that 6 hours of this is because there is a 30 hour job which doesn't fall into a set, so 6 hours for their day off is always booked as pressure. The other 2 hours is because a 40 hour job (8 hour day) on a full time set was taken down to 30 hours (6 hour day) last year, but the relief for that set still works it as an 8 hour day because they can't take his contract down to 38 hours. So we have 8 supernumery hours each week, 2 of them contract, 6 of them pressure overtime. Shouldn't they put this onto our AWD? I am not sure how this works but it seems ridiculous for us to go over our budget every week because we have an odd number of duties...

Im no expert on this asbru but yes you should argue that these hours should be included as they are AWD duties and are part of the office core work hours which as you say are used to run the office each week.When you do a revision all these hours need to be in the pot as this will decide how many duties you have.I believe reserves are taken out as it is the amount of AWDs that in the end decide how many reserves your office will have.
