Reverting back to 37 hour week .
As the title says , do we revert back to our normal hours again from Monday 25th March ? Pretty sure I remember that date being mentioned a while back , would be nice if the CWU could give us some kind of update rather than the radio silence we constantly get.

Re: Reverting back to 37 hour week .
We were told today that the usual hours start on Monday next week.
We will have four weeks of that, then starting 15 minutes later on April 22nd.

I don't get what's going on with these hours.
I thought we were doing-
6 months mid season (Jan-June)
3 months low season (July-Sep)
3 months high season (Oct, Nov, Dec)
Why is it changing every few weeks?

Well so far it just seems to mean I'm booking extended overtime every single day, instead of just Christmas and busy days.

Because they're intentionally bamboozling people in an effort to get more free work out of them...
Either that or they have no idea what they're doing.
So they're incompetent or deceitful....take your pick

Re: Reverting back to 37 hour week .
People were unhappy that the extra hours were worked before getting anything back.
People were unhappy about carrying owed hours over into the new holiday year.
Traffic dictated that it was possible to recoup some of the hours now.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

I wouldn't be surprised if somebody warned RM it would be an accounting nightmare for them to owe us hours across financial & tax years, as it seems a bit convenient we're now all square, hours wise, just as the financial year ends?

So this is just a one-off re-coup of hours then we'll go to predictable, set times throughout the year?clashcityrocker wrote: ↑21 Mar 2024, 18:05People were unhappy that the extra hours were worked before getting anything back.

Or is there no permanent times and they'll forever just make it up "as traffic allows"?
