Absence due to disability
I have a medical condition that has been going on for 10 years and has required hospital procedures the latest of which caused me to be absent for 3 days.Upon having my return to work meeting my manager said my absence would not go towards my record as I was covered by the disability agreement. With this in mind should I have lost £100 from my weeks wages?

Royal Mail are not treating you unfairly.
With the new sick policy every person is hit financially if absent from work 2nd time onwards /rolling year.
What they are not doing is adding it to a sick record which could be dismissed for.
Unfortunately,I think RM have pretty much covered themselves?

The Equality Act 2010 covers you with a disability with the absence procedure and sanctions with reasonable adjustments.
With the pay issue, it appears the manager has given authorised leave unpaid.
Being paid or not is not discriminatory as it is not the sickness procedure, but absence being used.
You can request to your manager to refund that payment and take a days' holiday entitlement as an example.
Know it stinks but my advice will be to ask your manager why the days' absence for medical treatment was unpiad?J

No one should have to use annual leave to recouperate.
