Resign/Repick
What triggers a repick ?
Is there a certain percentage of the office that needs to be affected or can staff decide to vote for a repick?
Does anybody have a LTB or anything concrete from union?

The unions stance is probably
If it doesn't effect our income then we are not interested. We will go along and agree with whatever R/M want

The way it's going I wouldn't be surprised to see re-signs being yearly in both DOs and MCs

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Resign/Repick
Can the staff vote for a repick if the desire is there?
We haven't had major change but lapsing walks have displaced senior staff who now don't have a walk
Only asking because our union rep doesn't seem to know

That would be interesting, we’ve not had one in 12 years and had two revisions implemented,SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑20 Mar 2024, 11:25The way it's going I wouldn't be surprised to see re-signs being yearly in both DOs and MCs

Re: Resign/Repick
Our office badly needs a revision and re-pick. We haven't had one for several years and a lot of staff have since jumped onto decent walks that they haven't signed for. Management and the Union don't want to create any upheaval in displacing staff on regular walks but the reality is that many rounds have just had loops tagged on to them that are often miles away from the original route. Many of our walks are also imbalanced as a result of many new builds as well.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Re: Resign/Repick
That sounds like my office. We have been told that there is going to be an office repick in two months. It’s been two months away for three years plus now. I’d be unhappy if it did happen though because the revisions need revising so we’d be picking a walk that could change for the worse. The revisions need sorting first but someone up top is preventing anything sensible being done.postslippete wrote: ↑20 Mar 2024, 17:23Our office badly needs a revision and re-pick. Call the area rep if your unit one doesn’t know.

Re: Resign/Repick
It's a resign if a third of the walks are changed.

Re: Resign/Repick
So if all walks have been changed by adding absorption loops? That makes a resign a dead cert?
Wonder why they keep kicking it down the road at our place.

Re: Resign/Repick
Repicks cost money because of training and are a headache for management.
