Does anyone have any insoles they think helps?
I've tried Superfeet Blue (about £40) recommended by a hiking shop, they seemed to improve my gait, but have zero padding / gel, making them pretty bad for walking on pavement.
Dr. Scholl gel inserts (about £10) are ok, but nothing special, and they're pretty much identical to the Aldi gel insoles (£4).
I've heard gel inserts are better for walking, and foam are better for standing, but I'm open to any suggestions.

Curex are pretty decent. About £30 but do last a while.

I have used these for the last ten years. Yes I work in a MC but still walk between 10 & 12 mile in a shift, but its all on concrete. I personally wouldn't use anything else. I have recommended them to plenty of colleagues, who use them too. I go through 2 or 3 pairs a year, but they are worth it.

Whilst self-bought ones can be great, I would still try to get an appointment with a podiatrist and see if you need more specific insoles to help you out more. They'll cost you nothing too, just take a while to get made.
Mine took me from pain in an hour to walking endlessly without issue, though I do wear my shoes down real fast. Generic bought ones sort of gave me half a day before aches and pains started.
In the meantime though, take the other advice, some help is better than no help.
