It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Absolutely disgusting. We’ve got walks failing daily. We are getting out late because we are short of F/Ts on the IPS, parcel sorting and then this..,

What are you all moaning about ? We are working shorter days , if you can’t complete your duty , that’s royal mails problem. Honestly, anything to have a moan , the aspiration has always been to get us down to a 35 hour week , we get that for a while and you all cry about it

yup, haven't completed my duty this week. Who cares ? Work your hours and go home.chickenwittle wrote: ↑13 Feb 2024, 18:32Would you rather work more hours a day ? Let Royal Mail worry about what’s failing .
Why would you walk 12 miles when you can walk 8 miles for same money.

Can we just keep 35 hour weeks in exchange for a 6 week period of 39 hour weeks at Christmas? Sounds like a good deal. It’s just as busy now as it was in September when we were on early starts

Maybe that’s what the union are thinking, would make sense and help with the later finishes most of the year.kazardaimenu wrote: ↑13 Feb 2024, 19:17Can we just keep 35 hour weeks in exchange for a 6 week period of 39 hour weeks at Christmas? Re: RMCtv : Seasonal variation low season extension joint communication
The longer we are on the low variation then the longer we are on the higher variation. I don’t want to be on the higher variation for longer than necessary. So in answer to your question, no I wouldn’t rather be working longer per day, but I will have to when they decide it’s time tochickenwittle wrote: ↑13 Feb 2024, 18:32Would you rather work more hours a day ?
