May you and your children have many more cut offs in the future.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

It felt really good to cut off today, even though I do feel a bit guilty. I just hope I won't get any grief from the manager's next week. But I don't care anymore, I am almost ready to walk out of the job anyway.

loads of mail failed at macclesfield today!!! mail centre worked yesterday, no night staff anymore at our d.o = too much mail, not enough people to clear it! to many walks to throw out for 24hr people! even with managers doing postmans work ie pouch dropping, ips, walk prep etc!!! it wasn't broke so why are you so intent on breaking it??? :cfo :lfo :cfo :lfo

I don't like doing it,i know we've been caned by the press (proper press not a wanky website)before because of cut offs and our comments, but we have to make a stand.even though I do feel a bit guilty

I am fortunate that I do not have any other demands on my time and I do feel a responsibility to a great group of customers so I have never culled, but what I will not accept is a query over why I am booking for extended delivery and how much. I can almost state which house I will be at at any given time after doing the walk for nearly 8 years. We have to pre-book extended delivery before leaving the office and many staff face the third degree about it.
Simple answer - They pay - We play, otherwise InfuriatedToast has the right idea and the courage to show it. It is now a sellers market - don't sell yourselves short - make sure you are rewarded or respected for what you do because many (not all I must admit) managers still don't seem to realize or give us credit for what we accomplish every day and the people at the top are so far removed from reality that they may as well be Heather Mills financial advisers.
