I wouldn't say I'm a basher, but I'm willing to post and say I'm disappointed in the current situation and view the union in a dimmer light than before.

To be clear: I'm still subbed, I would still strike if its the direction we went in, I would still expect my rep to help if required. I am not, however, so sure the union has the strength it need to fix this shitshow, not after what seems to be an almost complete capitulation with their opposition to Royal Mail senior management.

Sorry if I'm not in your yes/no pool, but I don't think that is a good measurement of us as a whole group, dissatisfaction with the union or not.

The union no longer defending us on daily office issues, they’ve lost any power they once had,and instead of defending members they now use the “take a grievance out” line and leave it at that😫
How on earth 🌎 they let it come to this ?
Sad times, that unfortunately are gonna get a lot worse🥲

I was. Until the day I left RM. Would probably save my weekly £3 odds now, if I was still a postie/CWU member.

Thankfully I'm not now! :wave

No I left. I'd still strike. Although I doubt we ever will again, just unbutton our pants and raise our bumholes ready for another shafting.

I wouldn't call myself a union basher, in fact I believe that unions should be essential in any workplace. I paid my subs to the CWU the moment I started. I have been through a few union and management encounters and stood by the executive line, even when and after being disappointed, shall we say.
But I now am no longer a member.

It's now a year since we have seen our area rep, despite calls for them to come down in person.
