flexability agreement
today our rep went into dom to sign up to flex..agreement and so release our £400 & 1.5%.
the deal had been agreed at our stockton on tees office over the the last few weeks.
it involved 6 am starts,30 mins flex etc.
when the rep went into sign it up she was told that we would have to start at 6.30 am.this was not agreeable and the goalposts had been moved again.
she was told we would not get anything unless it was signed
are any other offices in the north east being told of this?????
I NOW SAY STICK THE DEAL UP THEIR ARSES AND THE PENSION AGREEMENT
MANAGEMENT =LYING BACKSTABBING T**TS.
A VERY PISSED OFF POSTMAN

Hold up,you saying that we WON'T automatically get the pay rise then!!lovejoy wrote:The signing of the flexibility agreement releases the £400 but the 1.5% comes later after national trials / joint working parties
I though we got it once office cuts were done.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Why bust your nuts? The £400 is subject to tax and insurance, doesn't count towards pension and is a one off payment - the 1.5% is subject to all the criteria being met and that includes as far as I understand agreement to phase 3.
What happens if we don't agree? Is the world going to stop? No of course it isn't, we have already passed some of the deadlines and RM are getting desperate to get these agreements in - let 'em sweat - the longer we wait the more lenient the changes will become. Remember SDD some of us went in full steam ahead whilst others did nothing and still ended up with it. Don't forget next year they have to negotiate for the next pay and modernisation deal and won't that be interesting when this deal is still flapping in the wind.

YOU ALL WILL NOT GET A PAY RISE OF 1.5% UNTIL YOU AGREE TO PHASE 3 OF THE 2007 PAY AND MODERNIZATION AGREEMENT!. AND WHAT IS IS PHASE THREE YOU MAY WELL ASK (TRANSFORMING THE WAY WE WORK AND COVERING FOR ONE AND ANOTHER=NO O/T FOR COVERING ABSCENCE AND TO ENSURE ALL PAID HOUR'S ARE UTILISED= JOB AND FINNISH GONE!) WELL IS IT WORTH IT FOR THE £5.13 PENCE I SAY NO!.POSTMAN wrote:Hold up,you saying that we WON'T automatically get the pay rise then!!lovejoy wrote:The signing of the flexibility agreement releases the £400 but the 1.5% comes later after national trials / joint working parties

NONE and anybody who thinks Leighton will deviate from the ASDA blueprint of part time workers is stupid so lets make it as difficult for them as possible never mind another strike NO OVERTIME work your hours and theyre totaly f***ed

In our office we have no choice but to work our hours. The mailsort is coming in in droves, packets are 40% up each year and we are getting 2-3 trays of mech. everyday now.spilie wrote:ffs are we all stupid why do we keep asking questions about the fine details when we all know they change all the time how many agreements have they stuck by in the last 10 years? Management are paying out huge amounts of docket at the moment just to cover their arses. It is going to end in tears. f**k the £400.00. Say no to overtime. I was on a late shift the other day and 3 managers were out at 4.25pm delivering mail that we said no to on docket. If we do this the managers will get pissed off and then lets see how this all goes?

Our rep had a meeting with the som.Came to us with the offer of.Bank hours weeks 11 to week 24.(think those are the correct weeks).Or collapse a number of walks, and everyone, town rural & part timers all take some extra.
Well we had a vote, and they went for collapsing runs.Didn't trust manager over the figures for banked hours.Only myself and one other guy voted in favour of telling em to stick their £400.I've been with Royal Mail for over 30 years. So know if we agree they'll only be back for more.
Rep contacted som.To be told collapsing wont save enough hours !!.Moving the goalposts or what.

You only have to look at the LTB on the cwu.org website on easter arrangement's and the very fact is that their was no arrangement just imposition of CUT'S TO COLLECTTION'S OVER THE BANK HOLIDAY AND NO NOTICE TO THE FACT THEIR OF!.linkinpark wrote:Dont be silly? The frame work? and when we get to stage 3 and they just impose it anyway (And they will !) what then? Lookforward to our pensions? Next years fiasco of negotiations? Dont make me laugh! How many times do people have to be done over before they wake up? RM dont need us involved! they are gonna do what they are gonna do! Do you think the last 5 or 6 years have been by chance or some smart cookie playing fools for fools? Leighton and Crozier have done what they were paid to do by the Goverment! Shame our clowns could not do the same, but if ANYONE is daft enough to think things are going to get better after RM have seen real weakness from our leadership then think again. Does any one think if RM had said we are going to make you work an extra five years two years ago they would have got away with it? because i sure as sh*t wouldnt have but here we are now and they have and its all come to pass! The only thing that will save our service and union is to get rid of those strike breakers who were working for RM whilst we were on strike and that can now only happen at conference so that we may salvage at least some of our service!johnnypick wrote:I like it dvbuk55dvbuk55 wrote:Why bust your nuts? weekend duties
To get your £400 it also involves making me redundant. As a weekend worker, I have 2 choices... a buydown of hours or VR!!! so the rumour has it..... would be useful if my manager could answer some of the questions I have!!! Only he doesn't have a fekin clue! In fact.... he was quite worried for his own job when I told him!!! :cfo
