Return after IHR
Hi. I’ve been employed by Royal Mail for x years, left with IHR lump sum. I have been told I would be able to come back. So I have applied for position after z years - different role, different location. The only issue now is, new contracts are completely different to previous (if I would apply for the role let’s say 2 years ago). Will I be treated as a new employee or there is a chance to be employed as a transfer etc on previous, better terms? I only seen mentioning pension for new employees in similar topics, but not sure about the rest. I have read somewhere transferring etc employees would be on old contracts and only new ones with 40hrs monthly pay etc, so what about return after IHR? I would like to know this before i sign any contract. Thank you in advance.

Re: Return after IHR
As you left with IHR, that ended your contract of employment.
Any new contract will be on current terms as a new employee, not previous, so no previous entitlement or seniority will apply.
The only exception I can see that is in the Way Forward Agreement is that you will keep any previous annual leave entitlement with previous service length.
