appeal

Got a question for a CWU Rep? And all CWU related matters.

appeal

hi, just looking for some clarification if possible please. i've been given a serious warning in work by my manager and my local rep has told me to appeal. my question is could the appeal make things worse for me? any help would be great, my rep says 100% it can't get worse for me on appeal but just wanted second opinion thanks in advance for any help.

Is it the CWU telling you to appeal? The rep is spot on. The severity of your punishment cannot be increased as a result of you appealing the decision.

yes mate my local cwu rep has told me to appeal, thanks for the response

You will need valid reasons to appeal

And as for not increasing the punishment

Have they not just done that increasing the six months to twelve with the absence procredure for those already given the punishment under the attendance procedure?

Is that not a different procedure as you sometimes like to point out.or agreement im lost in it all.

If it can't get worse on appeal, why doesn't everybody appeal every decision?

There would be nothing to lose.
Because you know you've no grounds to appeal. Appeal if you think the decision is wrong or didn't take into account something important and should change the result.

Also, because appealing can be stressful and sometimes just taking the hit is easier.

You can appeal a serious warning, but there is a time limit. Whats is the circumstances without going to much into detail?
