Pay increase and lumpsum

Post by jasongray91 »

From what date will we receive the Pay increase, 500 lumpsum and back pay?

I know the 900 isn't until end of september, but do we recieve everything else in the next couple of weeks?

Next Friday, the 21st was mentioned on Twitter by the CWU a few weeks back depending on the yes vote. I'm not very good at maths but I roughly made out that the backdated pay would be about £420 before tax for a full timer and about £28 extra weekly. As I say I'm keek at maths!

If you are that principled you can donate your share to a charity. That would earn my respect.

Both lump sums and the backdated pay don't even cover the money lost during strikes. CWU should be ashamed.

Pathetic to be honest!
Inflation through the roof and mortgage rates rising to over 6%, what are people supposed to do?
Vote themselves into massive debt ?
Principles don't pay the bills.

Wonder what would have happened if the uk was not in the crisis it is in right now and if we would be still striking?

I understand a lot of us have some savings in the bank or enough to keep us going in the fight, however inflation and all the other factors might have been too much for some.

A few of the hardline loudmouths on here have admitted they are close to retirement with no mortgage,
I'm in a similar position but wouldn't dream of being so disingenuous by trying to act tough and berate members who are struggling financially when striking doesn't cause me much financial stress.
I would ask where their moral compass was?
