You may have seen media reports of serious and distressing allegations that have been made regarding the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) recently.
Royal Mail, like many British businesses, has been a member of the CBI for a number of years. However given the nature of these allegations, we have taken the immediate decision to suspend our membership of the CBI while independent investigations continue.
We have notified the CBI of our decision and are following developments very closely.
As a responsible employer and a leading British business, we expect all of the partner organisations that we work with to adhere to the highest standards of behaviours, and where this is in doubt we will not hesitate to act.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The company with a war chest so big they boasted about starving us back to work....
They now want us walking a marathon everyday but don't want to honour sick pay when our bodies give out!

The CBI like all lobbying groups should be banned, having said that the CBI hasnt allegedly assaulted anyone , people assault people and if that's happened police should be involved, trial by media again .

We cannot try the person on here he/she needs representation at the end of the day the CBI lobby's for business just as the TUC defends rights so many anti union posts on here, Sorry for the comment about 115.000 and anyone who was upset about it!
