Change of hrs
My partner and I start on time and work to our finish time, he needs to finish to pick up his kids and also neither of us want to work over. We are being threatened to be made to start later to give us more time on delivery, can the manager do this?. We have asked who will sort and prep our duties and ips but no answer. We are both full time.

Re: Change of hrs
Surely, if they change your times, they have to change all Ft's, otherwise that's discrimination!

Re: Change of hrs
Seems like they want to change our hrs just because we won't work over and bring mail back, the fact others do seems to be immaterial to him.

Re: Change of hrs
A bully tried it with us. Union stamped it out citing discrimination. Also pointed out that being on delivery that late would cause the very same problem that we couldn't go over in the first place concerning picking up the kids

Just smile, sweetly - and ask for it in writing (please)
“Shorts,in this weather?!”
“If they’re bills I don’t want ‘em!”
“What’s she been ordering now?”

Re: Change of hrs
A manager tried that on years ago with me, like you i asked who would prep the walk, this confused him, he just thought finishing an hour later meant I wouldnt need to book OT. He genuinely thought that by moving my shift an hour later, start and finish I could complete. But it's the same length shift i told himElmorbo wrote: ↑19 Apr 2023, 19:06My partner and I start on time and work to our finish time, he needs to finish to pick up his kids and also neither of us want to work over. If you look at the 36page dossier RM CWU have agreed on ... they want to do away with our frames and IPS eventually.Elmorbo wrote: ↑19 Apr 2023, 19:06My partner and I start on time and work to our finish time, he needs to finish to pick up his kids and also neither of us want to work over. Who wants to work 39hours in the winter also ? I'd rather work 39 hours in the summer in "nice" weather!!
