Talk to you GP first. Get a sick note. Don't let them wear you down

I'd echo going to your GP etc but then you will then be subjected to the weekly ringing up or having to call into the office so the bullyboys can pretend to give a s**t whilst belittling you on one of their Doctor Kildare wellbeing bollocks, which is tediuos for all involved.

If your that pissed off go in an tell them to stick it, your mental health and general wellbeing will improve eventually and you'll wished you'd have done it years ago.

I resigned while being on the sick for the last 10 weeks last day was Wednesday, Thursday I was driving class 1 artics no more bullshit and far less stress l, only do it if got another job lined up or be in a good financial position

Thanx gents @ yes have a few jobs in pipeline. Not as well paid but with pension etc life will go on and bills paid and a few beers at the weekend.
Never have I seen this company s workforce so demoralised .

Had a colleague in our office been offered early retirement on sick pay because they put in a grievance on their manager,was offered the deal if they dropped the charge from the management above the company is bent and corrupt let's bring them to their knees let's go public!!!!!!!!

Once in your 50s -60s it's hard to keep up, with what has become a very physical job, plus if you are on a van shared with someone younger and faster, it adds pressure and stress. O and the wear and tear.

On my own my friend but the constant " why can't u complete ur delivery " day in and day out .
Too old for that s**t but other posties are too scared to speak up and make a stand unfortunately.

I read that people are being questioned as to why they cant complete their rounds and I should imagine in most cases it is because the revision activity had made the round too big to complete in time. However the people who work overtime to complete their oversized rounds are no different. They have been unable to complete to time also, and therefore should be subject to the same questioning as the people who chose to not work over to complete. In my opinion this is victimisation and a grievance should be lodged accordingly against the manager in question.

Now a deal could be agreed soon probably worth waiting a few more weeks to get any lump sum that might be included. A £1500 lump sum was one of the proposals so if you leave too soon you could be missing out on £1000 after tax and NI.
