I think you mean PILON

Pay In lieu of Notice. But if its new it should be in the agreement released by Royal Mail but not agreed by the CWU, other than that it should be in an LTB somewhere.

Also I think it only applies for Ill Heath retirement and I haven't see any new agreements on that either.

the ill health terms ''used' to be 34 weeks pay plus up to 12 weeks pilon (depending on service) giving you up to 46 weeks pay. but now as far as i know, they are saying you lose a weeks pay for every weeks absence you have had since your start of service. meaning you could potentially get sweet f**k all. caring company.

Keep off Sick and claiming Sick pay if that's the case. Come back when you absolutely have to then keep going long term sick when the attendance procedure allows you to. Obviously a shitty solution to shitty people. If everyone affected adopted this they would have to be more reasonable

So, they want to offer you ill-health retirement, but pay you next to nothing?

Sounds like a rise on Thompson's £65,750 a month salary, is in the offing.

i finished in february after 9 months sick and got the full ihr payment so nothings changed yet
